Science Training Programme (STP) – Certificate of Equivalence
You will be expected to complete a portfolio of evidence mapped against the Clinical Scientist standards. Professionals who complete the programme can secure jobs at Band 7 and above. The ABHS provides a mentoring programme and other workshops to support professionals who would like to embark on this pathway.
A requisite is to complete three years’ work experience and a MSc in their speciality, once they have obtained their HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist.
Eligibility
STP by equivalence is for graduates of life sciences who obtained lower than a 2:2 for their degree. If you attained a higher grade, you can take the normal pathway. Workshops

2 day training programme with workshops across the different areas of the STP portfolio for equivalence. You must have been to the Awareness day to attend.
1-on-1 Mentoring

6 month mentoring scheme with personalised feedback and advice at each stage of the portfolio.
